Looking forward to the next installment

I'm looking forward to the next installment where the layout design choices of industries to include are detailed.

I believe that you can find a layout in pretty much any rail line you look at, especially if they are older. With some freelance magic and "what-ifs", industries can be set to remain, change, or new ones added. All depending on how a region/locale is envisioned/able to keep up with the changing times and needs of shipping/receiving industries.

Roger, how good/bad is the access to the fuel area? That seems like a decent stretch from either aisle?

Thank you Yaron for

Thank you Yaron for commenting on my article. I have a three foot reach to the back of this section and can easily clean it with an extension on my Woodland Scenics Tidy Track cleaner. Knowing this area would be difficult to build, I constructed the scene off the benchwork. Completing all the track work, buildings, scenery and details. Then placed the scene on the layout and built out from there.

Once the scene was in place I only have routine maintenance and cleaning of the track. The maintenance building are not secured, so I can clear any stuck or derailed engines or rolling stock.

Again, thank you for your interest in the article.

Cheers, Roger
