WAV --> MP3?

Dear Brian,

You mention that you edited and exported the source Horn audio file as a WAV file,
but note that the WT588D board takes MP3 files...

Questions arising:
- Where/when/how was the WAV file converted to MP3 format?
- What MP3 encoding settings were used?

Many Thanks and Happy Modelling,

Intriguing idea! Question: does the sound card have the ability to include three parts for playing a sound? I believe in the sound business it's called attack, sustain and decay. The thinking is it would be nice to have the part of the sound wave when the valve is opened as well as closed included. Are there boards out there that can do that? Thanks for sharing this great idea!

Yes, the Pricom DreamPlayer is your solution,
for a "one shot" gag like this, the DP Lite will be all that's required...

- Full-resolution CD-spec 44.1kHz 16bit PCM WAV audio
- Integrated Trigger IN and Control OUT terminals/interface
- Fully user-loadable via microSD cards
- "One-shot", "Loop while trigger", "3-part Loopable", and both "Background auto-start" and "Triggerable" playback capability....

...Oh, and it has been designed and produced by Model RRers FOR Model RRers...

Thanks for the link! The "Lite" looks perfect.  Very nice!
