refresh blog index?

Hi Joe,

I made an index for my blog a few months back, and have probably added a couple posts since then. What is the process I should follow for refreshing my blog index? I've been away for ten days and I saw a lot of people had posted or refreshed their blogs, so maybe you told us this and I missed it. If so, sorry, can you link or copy the info please?

You can call me EW. Here's my blog index

Refresh blog index

No rocket science here to refresh your blog index. Just visit the link again as shown in the how-to video, regen the index, then edit your old blog index created earlier. Delete all the old entries, and paste in the new ones and save it. Done!

Blog - Even though "weBLOG", it actually stands for "web log".

Hi Joe,

Long-time reader and love the eZine, thank you for providing this valuable resource to our hobby community.  I couldn't help but notice that you note the history of blogs as "weBLOG". It is actually a "web log".

When blogs were first introduced they were very different from static web pages that were infrequently updated.  This new web page format was a short series of entries, updated regularly, and displayed in chronological order down the page.  Similar to a log file on a computer, this new web format was noted as a "web log" or shortened to "blog".

I couldn't find references to "weBLOG" however there are several online references supporting "web log" or "weblog".

The Oxford Definition and Whatis definitions are noted below.  John C. Dvorak, a noted expert, author, and contributor to PC Magazine, also credits "web log" or "weblog" as the meaning for "blog".

Hey, that's a play on words not meant to be taken literally -- it's to make it very clear where the word BLOG comes from. In short, it's a quick way to illustrate you take the term web log, smash the letters together into a single word (weblog), then drop the we.

We could also have written it weblog ... it's an illustration to show the derivation of the word blog, not meant to be how the word was actually spelled.
