NMRA Convention

Thank you for an excellent article. I too had an "epiphany" with this convention. As a result, I paid and became a member of NMRA again after being lapsed over 20 years.

I will be attending the next convention as a vendor. It will be interesting to see how a "vendor hall" is worked out, if done virtually.

Some attendees suggested a "hybrid" convention, combining virtual and in-person attendance. Perhaps if the vendor hall were completely virtual, the vendors could offer discounts off merchandise for the week. After all, we will have saved thousands of dollars in travel and other fees.

I attended another virtual model railroad event this year with virtual vendor clinics. The vendors paid a fee to host these clinics. They were excellent and included Q & A.

I thought the virtual convention was fine, oh and I viewed your presentations.  I live in San Jose CA, but might not have attended the convention had it been only “live”.  I appreciated the opportunity to view clinics online, after the convention ended, since 3 were presented at the same time I was viewing other clinics.
