Use caution with Cerrobend and low melting point metals

One important caution to the use of Cerrobend or other similar low melting point metals: they contain cadmium, which is toxic and can make you very sick or even kill you if you accidentally ingest it.

You also do not want to use Cerrobend to cast a metal part and then file it. The filings can be dangerous if ingested.

We recommend using rubber dishwashing gloves when working with Cerrobend and other low melting point metals.
