Non-modeler Visitors

What do non-model railroaders think of the layout?  Do they "get it" when you talk about your layout as a miniature transportation system?  Do they get it when you talk about different "jobs" on the layout?

Rick McCellan's Frisco

When I was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. in 1966, a group of us when to St. Louis. The highway paralled   the Frisco and there was a fright train going along side of us with the orange and white locomotives. I didn't have a camera but wish I had. They were nice looking units. Glad to see this road modeled.

Wow

Nice work, Rick, on your layout!

I was surprised to see you're listed as owning a WW2 Jeep and doing re-enacting. How come I see no MBs or GPWs on the layout? Tsk tsk!

Seriously, from one WW2 Jeep owner/re-enactor to another within this hobby as well; your layout is very well done!

Really huge layout and very

Really huge layout and very well thought out. A layout that size would be way to much for me to tackle. Out side my time period and local of focus but still interesting. I would say you have got the transportaion system thing down rather well!

A fun layout to operate,

as I did during Prairie Rail a few years ago.

Glad to see it getting some exposure.
