  1. Which version - Standard or embedded (make sure you're talking the PDF download not the online edition)
  2. Which browser?
  3. Have you tried both the mirror as well as the primary?
  4. Have tried both the red button downloads and the green button downloads (on the landing page)
  5. How are you connecting to the web - wifi, 4G, cable, satellite ...

Portrait version seems fine

As I use both the landscape embedded version and portrait versions (desktop and Nook tablet), I download both.  and both render correctly. (Nice look in tablet / portrait mode by the way.)

The magazine tried both embedded an non embedded PDFs. Live read worked fine

The magazine tried both embedded an non embedded PDFs.failed the Live read worked fine. Just got download portrait to work. Suspect DSL maybe , carrier has been on strike for over 8 weeks service has been a yo yo up and down.
