Sound

Personally hardwired my locos with Tsunami or Loksound.  Wanting to put N Digitrax sound in HO Thomas for a grandson.  Had to learn to solder from You Tube model train how tos.  The more I read and review Bruce's columns the more I learn and understand what to do next.

Now, to find the real secret for maintaining sufficient track current to keep the engines with sound decoders running ....   no matter Watt.

Thanks Bruce and MRH!

I want one

Now that I have done a decoder install I read this and now I wanna change it. Putting sound in my atlas RS3 has been on my list for awhile, now I can see it happening. Awesome article as always

Tools

I appreciate your recommendations for tools.  In some cases, it validates what I already use and I added some of the others to my shopping list.

Sound Install Tips

Thanks for the videos.  You are correct much better than just words.  Also appreciate the tool recommendations.  I have a few of them, but I now have a few items for my shopping list.  Thanks again.

Bruce-the videos make things much easier to understand than text only with a one-frame picture.

Thank you as always--joel

  Great article! However it

Great article! However it should be noted for California readers, MEK is no longer available in the state. Something to do with the chemical composition and the state's cancer causing ingredient laws.

Bruce:

Great article in the August 2014 edition, as always. Yours is the first column that I read every month.

Where can I get one of those Needle Applicators that you suggest in tools?
