Noticing one issue with the online version..

When I click on the links from the forums to read the article/column it is directing me to the page before it starts.

FWIW.

Jan. 2014 Issue

I have just downloaded the Jan. issue embedded version. I am not able to access any of the ads web sites by clicking on the link in the ad. I keep getting the following error msg.

Error 1001 DNS Resolution Error then it precedes to show - You have requested a page on a website

(www.model-trains-universe.com) that is on the CloudFlare network.

Most Likely - Owner just signed up for CloudFlare-----------------

I have not ever had this problem before. I am using the latest ver. of Mozilla Firefox and MS XP

Richard, the ad link website is down

Richard:

The ad link website is down, and has been down for an hour and a half now. This is the same host as TrainMasters TV, so that site is down as well.

We use BlueHost, and their main home page is also down. Their Twitter support feed says they're working on the problem, but have no ETA yet.

So we wait .. this is the second such outage in the last two months ... may be time to seek a new hosting provider. Bluehost has been excellent up to now, but these unexplained and (now) frequent outages are not encouraging.

Not Just BlueHost

My blog is on BlueHost and is down as well. Seems a fair amount of EIG owned hosting services are down - HostGator, HostMonster, IPOWER, to name a few of the more popular ones. Whatever the problem is it is a biggie for them.

BlueHost

Looks like the ad server and TMTV are down again.

Reliability is not their strong suite lately

At least it is not BlueHost system wide like last time. My LK&O blog is up.

We will be moving off Bluehost

We will be moving off Bluehost - their reliability has dropped to the point we no longer trust them like we did.

They're back up now, BTW.

Good Gone Bad

Doing the same as soon as my subscription expires. Paid through March 2014. Going to a service not owned by EIG.

Sucuri monitoring of my LK&O site reports BlueHost unavailable at least half a dozen times every day. My Inbox of late is always chock full of Sucuri notices. They usually resolve within minutes. Whatever happened at BlueHost a few months back has really wrecked their uptime reliability. They were solidly up for years. Problem started sometime Oct-Nov 2013. Cut them some slack at first but now I too have had my fill.

If I criticize then it is only fair that I commend. Whatever Bluehost's problem was for the past few months has obviously been resolved. Their up time is back to 99.99%. The daily flood of error 500 messages stopped not too long after I made the above comment. Haven't received one since. They have restored my faith in them as a reliable hosting service.
