This article came at just the right time and solved a challenge I had been facing regarding mounting switch machines above the roadbed.

Alternative to mounting the switch machines

I found this series on Youtube  and thought it would be quite interesting for other readers to see what is available out there and how it is installed.

I also found the Circuitron  "Tortoise" switch machines are made into smaller ones "Smail" wit DCC circuits installed

Great video

I really appreciated the video showing how to build the turnout. Great instructions and techniques. I love this magazine!

Which "scratchbuilding a turnout video" is this?

Hi Guys,

Been away for several weeks so only downloaded the June 2012 MRH mag today.

Am I right in assuming that the downloadable "scratchbuilding a turnout video" is the high quality version of Charlie's method (on page 29 in the June 2012 mag) or is it Joe's CVT ties method or Tim's Fast Tracks method?

I have a limited amount of bandwidth so don't want to download 452MB of something I already have.

Great mag again this month.  Kudos to all involved.
