Cab Curtains - save those tea leaves

Nice article.   I've been using tea bags for years for window shades, canvas tarps and numerous other items.

But in your article you said to throw the used tea in the trash.   What a waste.   That used tea can make some good ground cover or loose leaves on the layout.

You guessed it, I save just about anything that can be converted to layout use.

Great Idea

I throw out at least 6 tea bags aday (my wife is English).  This is a great idea.  Love the adaptation of a common item.

Tea bas as canvas tarps

This might be the perfect idea for the netting over Woodchip cars too. Hmm I wonder how many it'd take to do a scale 62' Woodchip car in O scale..

Another method is to use tissue paper to make my cab curtains

Another method is to use tissue paper to make my cab curtains, no not the bathroom type, but the stuff used to wrap Christmas packages. You can also use the paper that is used to line a new shirt.

Make small folds in the paper, then use your favorite stain method to weather the curtain. You could even use tea.
