The Old Yard Master - Model Railroad Hobbyist news Man

First let me say Thank you to Richard Bale for your fine & well informed News in each issue of MRH Magazine.  I usually jump to your section of MRH first before even reading the index with any depth. I find The News of the "Old Yard Master" a definite must read each month to keep up on all the newest products and coming and going of Manufactures as well as general news not found else where.

I was sad to hear about the passing of "William D Middleton" I know of him as the author of a 1974 Kalmach publication ""When the Steam Railroads Electrified" in which is a complete survey of main-line electric operations in America. I wish I had more of his Books as this one book gives some fantastic information of Multiple unit operations on American railroads. Had Richard not mentioned the passing of William Many of us would never have known about it.

Keep up the great reporting Richard as you add that much more needed professional information about the Model Railroad industry and are a definite asset to MRH Magazine Staff. Thanks for another great addition to the MRH Monthly magazine.
