Great article!!
Congrats on the whole Horseshue curve project! I am big fan of transition era Pennsy, so I was delighted that one PRR layout will be frequent in the MRH. Even though I am HO modeler in Europe!
But N is much better for representing 4-track main, I have to admit that!
Hope the progress on the "Curve" goes as planned!

useful information
Hello John - I am enjoying your series on the layout and n-scale in general. I especially like pictures and comments on benchwork and the mechanics of getting track down properly. I welcome anticipated articles dealing with wiring and turnout drivers. I think n scale has some different needs because of the size. For instance, the points move only about 1/16 inch when a turnout is changed - getting this travel from machines traveling over 1/4 inch can be a challenge. Thanks for mentioning brand-names on materials and details on using them - such as which ballast and how to apply it. Everything in model railroading has been written about many times but one more article will help somebody and will not be a waste - espcecially when it is related to your specific experience on a specific layout and not empty theory.
