Painting a modern diesel

Enjoyed reading over this article. Nice work on the SD 38-2 Ken. I have considered making my own decals before but never have done so. Thinking maybe I should give it a try sometime. You've also provided a lot of good general info on the modification and repainting process as well.

Very good to see MRH offering some new techniques and processes, and teaching some do-it-yourself skills.

Thanks for that article Ken! I don't know if I could have done better myself. Time will tell, as I have a CSX unit to paint still.

I wanted to ask, did you look at Microscale's Trim Film, the colored decal 'paper', in lieu of painting some yourself?
