Getting MRH Issue 1 to work on Macs

So far we've been able to determine that MRH Issue 1 works fine on older Macs running OS X 10.4.11 (tiger).
However, the newer op system Leopard appears to have many problems.
Could those of you out there with Macs please post your experiences trying to read issue 1? Please note model of machine and precise OS version you're using so we can look for patterns.
Our intent is to also develop a flattened version of the magazine that's just really nice JPGs and then also include links to the rich media goodies on the web (so we don't have to deal with media playback issues INSIDE a PDF).
Hi Joe,
I'm using a MacBook Pro 15" running MacOS X 10.5.6, Acrobat Reader 9 and Flash 9,0,151,0 with Firefox 3.0.4.
With the Premium edition: no way.
The Lite edition works great. I can read all pages and open the rich content in Firefox without problems.
Great job. I'm enjoying this issue a lot.
Just one comment/request: is there any way to print out few pages? When I try to print from Acrobat Reader it immediately freezes and there's no way to recover. I have to kill (i.e. "Force Quit...") the Reader and open it again.
I know printing pages is not that eco-friendly, though I'd like to read few articles when I haven't my Mac at hand.
Thanks a lot, regards.

Have you tried pressing ESC (to leave full screen mode and get the Adobe Reader menu) and then selecting File -> Print ... ?
Does that work?

We're still hearing from more than a few notable Mac users that the need to download *anything* to view PDFs like MRH is a real put-off.
So as of issue 2, the LITE Edition will be completely Mac Preview friendly. You won't need anything else to read the LITE Edition on a Mac.
Issue 1 LITE was a hasty last minute step in the right direction - but we'll go the rest of the way with Issue 2. We'll be doing extensive Mac testing of Issue 2 ... any volunteers from the Mac community who would be willing to get advanced copies of Issue 2 for testing purposes?

Joe,
I'll volunteered for the MAC users.

I even have access to a variety of hardware and software readily at hand ( I have osX 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5 images on my desk, as well as intel and powerpc machines.
If I can help, I'd be happy to.

Hi Joe,
regarding printing:
that's exaclty what I did. I quit from the full screen display and select File->Print. No luck. I also quit and reopened the document without entering in full screen mode without success.
Regarding the issue 2:
I'd be very happy to do some beta-testing of the forthcoming issue 2 if you need.
Thanks again.
Regards, Ricky4208.

Are you printing specific pages or are you trying to print the entire issue? We've found printing out a few pages works okay on our Mac here at the office, but if you just select print and don't specify just a few pages to print, it goes out to lunch and never comes back.
Is that what you're seeing? Make sure you click the down arrow on the right of the print box to get advanced print options and then only print out a few pages.
