Printable HO Scale Track Templates

Hi all been a while and figured it was time to return again with a new project of mine. With all my newfound free time I've been drawing up some track templates, so far I have a #4.5 Turnout, 30 degree crossover and 22" and 18" curves along with a straight. The link below includes them scaled for 2" to the foot drawings as well as full size. The cad savvy of you should easily be able to resize as needed in cad and it's not to hard to scale in other ways as well.

3d printed locomotive test rollers

Found this on thingiverse and thought it may be of interest to everyone here. For those of you without 3d printers it's a lot cheaper than the commercial ones.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know of some railroad related college scholarships?

I'm at the point in life where it's time to start looking at colleges and finding extra scholarships to put a dent in loans does anyone know of any for people that may be interested in the railroad field? The specific degree I am considering is mechanical engineering and I know that could potentially be related and I imagine the number of people applying for such things may be lower than other more common ones.

Theoretical benchwork design store a 10.5"x10' layout in only 7"x20" (wall of text warning still only in brainstorming phase)

Intro thing

After sharing my other benchwork design while brainstorming I have come up with that should, in theory, allow me to store a 10' long layout in a very compact space excluding buildings which would have to be removable and stored elsewhere which is an issue I can accept.

Small 11.75"x44" switching layout + switching lead

Only a base layer of scenery has been applied and it needs some cleanup but this is my most complete project to date. The two main structures were scratchbuilt and so was the team track area at the end. The yellow structure was a Branchline trains kit "painted" with colored pencils. More details to come in the next post.

Second Scratchbuild Project

While I probably should have worked off plans for this I didn't I just figured it out as I went along but here is my second scractbuilt structure. The blue isn't intense in person I think the white balance was off a bit.

Latest Hobby Shop Pickups

Got some kits and stuff for scratchbuilding spent $85 which may have been a little steep but I'll be busy for a little while

Container to hold DCC controller and other controls

The container includes an auto reverser USB interface and a sound decoder that I just set to match my locomotive I am running at the time works really well and keeps everything contained in one place.
